Te Puia - Maori Culture (06/09)

Rotorua is one of the best place to study English in New Zealand and one of the city particularities is the possibility to learn the maori culture. My first experience was "Te Puia" which is a maori arts and crafts institute, also thermal valley with guided tours, geysers, mud pools, etc.
In the cultural presentation (photos below), they gave us welcome, showed dances, they sang and taught how maoris kill people (at the past of course! :P) and many more curiosities as well.
After that, we explored the thermal area, with lucky is possible to see close the geyser phenomenon.

Rotorua é um dos melhores lugares para estudar inglês na Nova Zelândia e uma das particularidades da cidade é a possibilidade de aprender a cultura maori. Minha primeira experiência foi "Te Puia" que é o instituto de artes e ofícios,  também vale termal com tours guiados, géiseres, piscina de lama, etc.
Na apresentação cultural (fotos abaixo), nos deram boas-vindas, nos mostraram danças, cantaram e ensinaram como os maoris matam pessoas (no passado é claro! :P) e também muitas outras curiosidades.
Depois disso, nós exploramos a área termal, com sorte é possível ver o fenômeno géiser.
